Harrison Alpha 1660XS

The Harrison Alpha 1660 and 1760 XS Lathes have been designed in response to increased demand to extend above the 1550 XS and turn larger diameter components accurately, efficiently and cost effectively. The Alpha 1660 XS can now be specified with a high powered 18.5kW motor and 105mm spindle bores, bringing true heavyweight turning performance to Alpha customers. The machines fill the gap between the Alpha 1550 XS and the 2800XS.
 
The Harrison Alpha XS Lathe offers the widest variety of control levels from manual through to full ISO on one machine. Tailored to optimize the skills of the machine operator, the Alpha X Series offers a large machine envelope for the efficient production of a wide variety of components in small to medium size batches. The new generation Fanuc 0i TF controls with colour touch screen and be spoke software systems gives you full CNC capability.
 
The customized Fanuc control gives you the option of manual or automatic operation via a simple key switch. Has the Alpha System unique control software embedded within the machine, enabling you to double, triple or even quadruple your productivity compared with other turning methods. Manual Guide I is the latest and most powerful conversational programming system from Fanuc. It offers the most comprehensive and feature laden aid that any other lathe programmer could want and becomes available on the Alpha XS range when the key switch on the control panel is turned to the automatic position.

The heavyweight 1660 and 1760XS models are both available in bed lengths of up to 6 metres and spindle bore upto 230mm.
